What exactly am I buying?

Advertising space. Each spot is the right to have your logo physically placed on a specific area of the suitcase for 12 months of active use. You are not buying the bag, a share of the bag, or any ownership in anything - just the placement.

Do I own the bag?

No. The bag belongs to the campaign owner. Your winning bid buys a defined sponsorship placement on it, plus a permanent sponsor page on this site.

When will the bag be purchased?

The morning after the auction closes. The receipt gets posted in the campaign journal, so you can see exactly where the money went.

What happens if the auction doesn't reach the target?

The bag gets bought either way - if bids come in under the bag cost, I cover the difference myself. Every placement that was won stays on the bag.

What happens if I'm outbid?

Accepted Answer

Your payment stays committed to the spot, and you can take it back any time by paying just the difference. Paid $50 and the top is now $60? $11 more puts you back on top at $61. If the auction ends while you're outbid, the money stays in the campaign pot.

How long will my logo stay on the bag?

Accepted Answer

12 months of active use from the day logos are installed. After that the campaign wraps and the sponsor page records everything the bag did - permanently.

Where will the bag travel?

Accepted Answer

Planned stops include Delhi, Dubai, London and New York, plus every airport, hotel, event and café in between. Each stop is documented in the public journey log. No specific route or number of trips is guaranteed - travel plans are travel plans.

Can startups and individuals bid?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Startups, side projects, personal brands, newsletters - if the logo passes the placement review (nothing offensive, nothing illegal, no direct trademark conflicts), it can go on the bag.

What happens if two people bid at the same time?

Accepted Answer

Payments are processed in order of arrival and every dollar counts toward your total on the spot. If someone's payment lands just before yours, you'll see the new price immediately and can raise by paying the difference.

Can I change my logo later?

Accepted Answer

Before installation: yes, freely. After installation: once per campaign, if you rebrand - the reprint is on me, the shipping delay is on the calendar.

What happens if the bag is damaged or lost?

Accepted Answer

Damaged: logos get repaired or reapplied - battle scars are content. Lost or destroyed: a replacement bag is purchased and all logos reinstalled at no cost to sponsors, and the story goes in the journal, because honestly that's a great story.

Is my sponsorship refundable?

Accepted Answer

No - every payment is final and stays in the campaign pot, even if you end up outbid. Two exceptions: a logo rejected in review is refunded in full, and if the campaign fails to deliver installation within 30 days of the auction closing, winners get a full refund.

Question 13

Do I get photos of my logo on the bag?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every sponsor receives close-up install photos, plus journey photos whenever the bag gets documented on the road. Use them anywhere; they're yours.
