Campaign terms

The short, honest rules behind Sponsor My Bag #001. Bidding means you agree to these.

1. What you're buying

A sponsorship placement: the right to have your logo physically applied to a defined area of the campaign suitcase for 12 months of active use, plus a permanent sponsor page on this site. You are not buying the bag, any share of the bag, or any ownership in anything. The bag belongs to the campaign owner at all times.

2. How the auction works

Each spot is sold by open auction. Every bid is paid in full at the moment it is placed. Your paid total on a spot is your bid; the highest paid total holds the spot, and the earliest position wins ties.

If someone pays more than your total, they take the spot. Your money stays committed to that spot, and you can retake it at any time before the auction closes by paying the difference between the new top and your paid total, plus at least $1.

When the countdown reaches zero, the highest paid total on each spot wins the placement.

3. Payments are final

All payments are final. If the auction ends while you are outbid, your payments stay in the campaign pot and are not refunded. This is disclosed on every bid form before you pay.

Two exceptions apply. If your logo is rejected during review (section 5), every payment you made on that spot is refunded in full. If logo installation for winners does not happen within 30 days of the auction closing, winners are refunded in full.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. Card details never touch this site.

4. If the auction falls short of the target

The funding target exists to buy the bag. If winning totals come in under the target, the campaign owner covers the difference personally. Won placements stay on the bag either way.

5. Logo review

Every logo is reviewed by hand before it goes on the bag. Nothing offensive, nothing illegal, no direct trademark conflicts, no adult content, no scams. Rejection at review is the one case that always triggers a full refund of that spot's payments.

You can swap your logo freely before installation, and once per campaign after installation if you rebrand.

6. Travel and visibility

The bag travels with the campaign owner. Planned stops are published in the journey log, but no specific route, destination count, appearance schedule or impression count is guaranteed. You are sponsoring a real object in the real world, not buying ad impressions.

7. Damage, loss and delivery

Damaged bag: placements are repaired or reapplied at no cost to sponsors. Lost or destroyed bag: a replacement is purchased, all logos are reinstalled at no cost, and the story goes in the journal.

8. The boring but important part

The campaign owner may update these terms; material changes are announced in the campaign journal and never apply retroactively to money already paid. Placement is a license, not a partnership, endorsement deal or investment. SponsorMyBag is an independent project not affiliated with any luggage manufacturer.
